How many projects does the studio take at once?
Between six and eight active commissions. It is a deliberate ceiling — it is the number at which the founding partners can remain personally involved in every project rather than reviewing it from a distance.
What size of project do you typically work on?
Full-service residential and interiors commissions generally begin at ₹1.5 crore of project value. Focused engagements such as Bespoke Space Planning or Material Curation start considerably lower and are often the right way to begin.
How is your fee structured?
For full-service work, as a percentage of project value, staged against the six phases of our process. Focused engagements are fixed-fee. In both cases the fee, the stages and what each includes are set out in writing before any design work begins.
Do you work outside your home cities?
Yes. We currently work across Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Goa, Alibaug and Pune, with selected international commissions. Travel and site-presence arrangements are agreed at the outset so the site coverage is never in doubt.
Do you take on execution and contracting?
No. We remain the designer and your advocate, not the contractor — the two roles conflict. We tender the work, help you evaluate contractors, and then coordinate execution on your behalf with weekly site presence and written reporting.
Can you work with a contractor we have already appointed?
Often, yes. It depends on whether that contractor is equipped for the level of detailing the project requires. We will tell you honestly after reviewing their previous work — before you commit, not after.
How long does a project take?
A ground-up residence typically runs 18–30 months from first conversation to handover; a full interiors commission 9–16 months. We would rather give you a realistic programme at the start than an optimistic one you will remember later.
What happens at the first meeting?
A conversation, usually 60–90 minutes, at your site or in our studio. We want to understand the space, how you intend to use it, your timeline and your budget. You leave with a clear view of whether we are the right studio for the project — including if the answer is no.
